As seen on the popular wedding blog Wedding Chicks . One of the best things about being a wedding photographer in Cornwall is the amount of great people we get to meet every week. Suzy and Ollie’s wedding in Hatt near Plymouth was no exception. What a great bunch of people! The wedding has been months in the planning, hosted at Suzy’s family estate which has been in the family for more than 300 years! The building and surrounding land was so perfect for a wedding. Suzy’s sisters also had their wedding receptions at the house.
The ceremony was at the local church in Botus Fleming and as it was the vicar’s last wedding before retirement it was an extra special event.
Suzy is a stylist – she designed the whole event and even designed her dress and the bridesmaids’ dresses – wow! I spent the morning with Suzy and the girls as they got ready at home. Its always lovely to do bridal preps in the bride’s home as so much personality and character is communicated through the surroundings. I feel it tells more of a story.
After the speeches the party really got going – with Banana Split playing a load of classic party songs. The booze was flowing and the photo booth in full swing!! Note that this rather fabulous photo booth was set up by the bride and groom and we took the photos for a few hours – for the rest of the time there was a polaroid camera at hand for people to take their own portraits. We do offer our own photo booth service – samples can be seen here.
