You’ve gotta love the drinks reception and party time at a wedding, it’s a time for pure documentary photography when we load a long lens and quietly snap away while everyone is enjoying a good drink and lapping up the atmosphere. This gallery is just a snippet of the archives we have and although we’d love to share more, this should give you a good idea of how we work.
A Few Thoughts on Wedding Celebrations and Photography
So long as you’ve provided some nibbles for your guests then we advise a window of between one and a half to two hours is good for a drinks reception before having a sit-down meal. This is obviously a little dependent on the time of year and weather conditions but any less than one and a half hours can seem very rushed. If you’d like to be able to kick back in the sunshine and enjoy a few drinks as well having some ‘couples portraits’ and ‘formal family photos’ you’ll need to think a bit about timings.
